Lake Nyabihoko in Uganda

Tucked away in the rolling highlands of Ntungamo District, southwestern Uganda. Lake Nyabihoko is one of the country’s most charming yet lesser-known natural attractions. Observing birds: Fish eagles, pelicans, cattle egrets, and the grey-crowned crane, Uganda’s national bird, can all be found in the lake which is designated as an Important Bird Area (IBA).

Island of Mutuumo: A resort and the remains of a traditional Ankole household are situated on the island in the middle of the lake. Providing a window into past architectural trends.

Canoeing and Boat Rides: Tourists can use motorboats or traditional dugout canoes to explore the coastline and go to Mutuumo Island.
