Day 1: Kigali Airport pick up & City tour.

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be picked by one of our experienced Rwanda Gorillas & Chimpanzee Tracking Safari driver. Guide who will transfer to Kigali for a city tour. You will visit many places including Kigali Genocide Memorial and museum, Caplaki craft market, Camp Kigali among others, then drive to your Hotel where you will spend night.

Day 2: Depart Kigali –  for Nyungwe Forest with en-route visit to historical and cultural sites.

In the morning after your breakfast, one of our experienced tour drivers / guide will pick you from your Hotel in Kigali, and drive you to Nyungwe forest national park.

You will visit King’s place in Nyanza, Ethnographic museum in Butare / Huye and Murambi Genocide memorial with lunch break along the way. Later continue your Rwanda Gorillas & Chimpanzee Tracking Safari journey through the forest to Gisakura where you will spend your night at:

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe Forest & Transfer to Kibuye on Lake Kivu

On this Rwanda Gorillas & Chimpanzee Tracking Safari day you will have to wake up very early, have an early morning breakfast, you will then report at the ranger station ready for your Chimpanzee tracking.

Tracking will start with the briefing about do’s and Don’ts by the park guide who will later take you in the forest for your chimpanzee experience. You will then meet our close relatives in the jungle afterwards you will be driven to Kibuye on Lake Kivu for overnight, Dinner and overnight stay

Day 4: Kibuye – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

A relatively early morning start, after your breakfast, you will go for Angolan Colobus monkey tracking. Angolan colobus monkeys are rare species of monkey which are found in this part of the forest range rather than other forested places in Rwanda.

On return from tracking these monkeys, your Rwanda Gorillas & Chimpanzee Tracking Safari driver / guide will transfer you from Nyungwe forest, dDriving you northwards to Volcanoes national park. You will pass via western scenic route through Kibuye, driving along the shores of lake Kivu.

Enjoy the beautiful scenery. You will have lunch in Kibuye town afterwards proceed your journey, arriving Volcanoes national park early evening. You will relax at the lodge have dinner and overnight stay at

Day 5: Rwanda Gorillas Trekking and Cultural Visit to Gorilla Guardians Village

Early in the morning after your breakfast, you will report at the park office well prepared for your gorilla trekking experience. Attend the briefing by the ranger guide about the DO’S and DON’TS of gorilla tracking.

You will then enter the forest for your gorilla tracking adventure, which may take 3-6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas in their natural habitat. You will stay with the gorillas for a maximum of one hour once you encounter them.

In the evening, you will Community visit to Gorilla Guardians Village where you will experience and enjoy local cultural entertainments, meet the Banyarwanda community members who will welcome you with a poem and perform traditional dances and Drama taking you through their culture.

Your will then return to the lodge for Dinner and overnight at

Day 6: Golden Monkey tracking & Transfer back to Kigali for departure

On this Day, you will have breakfast, then afterwards you will report to the park office ready to for Golden monkey tracking. Golden monkeys are one of the unique and endangered primate observed in Volcanoes national park.

You will meet these monkeys afterwards, transfer to Kigali. Proceed to Kigali International Airport to catch up with your departure flight if on schedule or to your Hotel.
